Etude experimentale dun film liquide tombant un plan incline dans un canal fortement confine

An experimental setup has been developed to study the falling water film interacting with a counter-current gas flow under strong confinement. It consists in an inclined glass plate (150 cm * 27 cm) placed on a massive framework with adjustable inclination angle in the range 0-20 degs. A 70 cm long strongly confined rectangular channel is created at upstream with a gap height of 5.1 mm. Chromatic Confocal Imaging is used to measure the liquid film thickness. A linear stability study without counter-current gas flow has been performed. It has showed that the confinement tend to stabilize the interfacial waves.
