Transport versus imbibition in a cylindric macropore

We focus on the transport of thin liquid film in a cylindrical macropore. Previously, the dynamics of thin flows was studied for an impervious surface, in the present work, the surface is porous and a flow may appear in the porous matrix. We aim at studying the competition between imbibition and the transport in the macropore using time-integration and path-following of the stationary states. The originality of the approach is to take into account wettability of the macropore surface but also the wettability of the porous matrix too. Thus, in the porous matrix a modified Richards equation is employed in order to take into account a partially wetting medium.
