Viscous fingering of miscible fluids

We study experimentally and numerically the nonlinear dynamics of viscous fingering in chromatographic applications in order to underline its specificities and quantify its contribution to the distortion of the output peaks as a function of the important parameters of the problem (viscosity contrast, flow rate, width of the sample, Péclet number, gap of the Hele-Shaw cell).
